We believe in nature-based solutions to human-made problems so deeply that it has become our vision. While it may seem more like a slogan than an overarching goal, it captures the reason for our existence. We genuinely care about improving life on our planet, yet life as we know it is under threat.
The paradox is threefold:Humans rely on nature, yet simultaneously destroy it;
Nature helps regulate the climate, but climate change accelerates natural disasters;
and humans are the cause of climate change, which now threatens all forms of life.
Protecting and amplifying nature is essential to tackling the climate and nature crises we face today. Our vision is a commitment to undo the damage we’ve caused as humans and take responsibility for the future of our planet. It’s about owning up to our responsibilities and offering a clear path forward.
Our story
In Noora, we believe climate action starts in our backyard - with the forests surrounding us
Forests are powerful carbon sinks, essential for regulating climate and slowing global warming. Yet, nature is under pressure, and ecosystems are on the brink of collapse. Reversing this trend requires a massive collective effort - one that inspired us to start Noora.

Forests are vital for carbon storage, food security, and human well-being. But intense pressure from resource demand, land-use changes, and extreme weather is driving biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse. Without immediate action, we risk severely compromising our forests’ carbon sink capacity - and much more.
We cannot safeguard our future and combat climate change without urgently transforming the way we manage our forests, but the right incentives are not yet in place to enable this shift.
The idea for Noora was born in late 2023 when Firda, a technology investor and company builder, joined forces with NORSKOG, a professional forest owner organization, to address a glaring gap: the urgent need for climate action, the immense potential of boreal forests - and the lack of systems to make sustainable forestry economically viable and attractive for forest owners in the northern hemisphere.
Firda assembled a team of company builders and technologists - who happen to love nature and care deeply about solving the climate crisis - so much so that they left their secure jobs to build something new and impactful: Noora.
